Marketing Policy — Swap Your Driving Test Date

Marketing Policy

Last updated: 17 April 2026

Marketing & Partner Communications

From time to time, where we have identified you as an appropriate candidate based on your use of our Platform, we may send you information about relevant products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. This may include insurance products, driving-related services, and offers from carefully selected partners.

These communications will always be relevant to your driving journey — things like car insurance close to the point you pass your test, instructor partnerships in your area, and other services that complement the matching platform. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.

Why we send these communications

We process your data for marketing purposes on the basis of our legitimate interests under UK GDPR, as described in our Privacy Policy. We have assessed that it is reasonable for a learner driver who has signed up to a test-swap service to receive a small number of communications about directly related products (such as insurance for when they pass) — both because it is relevant and expected, and because it is capped in frequency.

We do not carry out broad advertising blasts. Every marketing message we send is targeted based on information you have provided about your driving journey.

How to opt out

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time. Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email we send you — it takes effect immediately and we will not send you any further marketing.

If you would rather email us directly, write to support@drivingtests.co.uk from the address associated with your account and we will action your request within one working day.

Opting out only stops marketing communications. We will continue to send service-related messages (match notifications, account updates, swap status alerts) while your account is active, because these are essential to the operation of the service.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to object to direct marketing at any time, and we will always honour that objection without charge and without needing to explain yourself.

You also have the broader data rights explained in our Privacy Policy — including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

Partners

Where an offer we share comes from a partner (for example, an insurance provider), we will make that clear in the communication. We do not share your personal data with these partners unless you actively choose to engage with the offer. Any click-through to a partner is tracked only for our own performance reporting (for example, to measure how many users found a partner useful), not shared as personal data.
